Online registration is open for this event through the evening of December 25, 2013. If the race has not sold out, walk up registration at Packet Pick-up will be available December 28, 2013.

Kids Fit One Mile Fun Run


Don't forget to bring the kids for their very own fun run (ages 4-12) hosted by Kids Fit Foundation! Kids Fit programs and events are designed to be a day for kids to reach their goals and to celebrate their healthy lifestyle achievements with their family and friends. We encourage all families to get their children active at a young age. All children receive a t-shirt and finisher's medal. Bring the camera and we'll bring the smiles!

Rain or Shine:
This event will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.
 

Timing System:

State of the art ChronoTrack systems will be used to record participant finishing times. The ChronoTrack system uses a B-Tag, which is affixed to the back of your bib (race number), allowing you to walk away from the finish without the need to have your tag collected.

*Please note: All participants must wear their bib in order to have their times recorded. Race Results will be posted at www.BiggestLoser.com/RunWalk shortly after the race.


Course:
For the safety of all participants, the following are prohibited: bicycles, in-line skates, skateboards and all motor-driven vehicles.

Portable toilets, fluid replacement and first aid will be available on the course. Certified medical personnel will be available at the start and finish areas of the race.
 

Gear Check
Gear check will be available for all participants on race day. Please tear off the gear check tag from the bottom of your race bib and attach it to your bag.


Photography
Participants will receive FREE downloadable race photos!

There will be photographers along the course snapping your photo for some great action shots, but make sure to stop by the finish line festival to take your official finisher's photo!

*Please note: Your race bib is how your photos will be tagged to yourself, so make sure to wear it on race day in a clear visible spot on the front of your clothing. You will receive an email when your photos are available for viewing, complete with easy links to share on Facebook and Twitter!


Runner Secure Zone/Finish Line:
Once you cross the finish line you'll enter a Runner Secure Zone - a fenced off area for race participants only. You will receive water, sports drink, and food.
Parking and Spectators
Parking:
There will be parking lots available at Frank Brown Park at the Festival Site & General Parking lots.


Spectators:
We welcome all spectators to cheer on participants and loved ones! There is no fee to be a spectator at this race. Spectators are advised to be in place 1 hour before race start on Race Day.
Rules and Policies
Race Rules:
You must bring a photo ID to pick up your own race bib and timing chip at packet pick-up. No one else can pick up your packet for you.
 
Race bibs are required to participate.
 
No coaches, handcycles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards or dogs will be allowed on the course.
 

Course Time Limit:
Participants have 5 hours to complete the half marathon (22 min/mile pace). The 5K participants have 1.5 hours to complete the course (30 min/mile pace). The course has a rolling street closure. If you fall behind this pace, the roads will be reopened to normal traffic and you will be a pedestrian and subject to normal traffic rules.
 

Cancellations:
Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Sorry, no exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not transfer your application to the following year or another event. If you attempt to sell your race number, you may be banned from future events for three years.

Beach Ball Drop
Participants can celebrate the completion of this fun and challenging RunWalk at Panama City Beach’s Sixth Annual Beach Ball Drop on New Year’s Eve. This yearly tradition takes place in the 1.1 million-square-foot outdoor lifestyle center Pier Park, during which an 800-pound glowing beach ball descends to signify the New Year. Earlier in the evening a family ball drop, consisting of 10,000 inflatable beach balls dropped from the sky, and a fireworks display is held.
